It's Phuket. I have been many times, but beofre the Tsunami. i think Kata Beach and Kata Noi Beach are the nicest areas with nice hotels. Ko Phi Phi (Island) is nearby and good for Scuba and snorkeling. Patong beach is where the nightlife is centered, it is a little wild with the open air market, transvestite bars and massage parlors.

Pouket, I am not sure about this one...I will assume you mean phuket. It is a nice place, very touristy with lots of stuff to do. most things you can book form your hotel lobby or from stalls located on most steet corners. from sightseeing, elephant rides, island hopping, scuba diving, cultural tours....you name it, you can book there
