yes.
but the problem can only be solved by the Iraqi people .
no one will ever achieve a democratic state for another country no matter how noble the intent.
democracy must be born from within a country not forced onto it.
there are probably 20-25 different stratigies that will stableize Iraq but there are none that gaurentee a democratic state in the end wich means there is no way to regulate the country's impoirts or export's
each new democracy had at it's conseption one common goal liberty for all .
in a country that has no idea what the meaning of liberty is democracy is a dictatorship governed by the majority population over the weaker population.
hence the problem in Iraq ,they want to be a democratic state but they all want to be incharge.

First step. Stop the lies, the propaganda, the smoke-screens and backside-covering. We went into Iraq to maintain a psychological, military and economic grip on the whole Middle-Eastern region because of oil. We are now being lied to about Iran for economic reasons. If an Arab country attains nuclear Independence the West will no longer be able to bully it. This will potentially have a big effect on oil prices. USA will not be able to dictate as effectively.
We need to pull our troops and profiteers out of Iraq and they be replaced by user-friendly Arab-nation UN troops. This will diffuse the situation, almost overnight. We must then pay billions in compensation for the completely illegal military coup that has been staged in Iraq by the USA and her allies.
This will lead to the beginning of the end of the conflict.
Or shall we just believe all the rubbish from Washington and The Sun and let people carry on dying unnecessarily.

They can only be solved only if the Iraquis begin to appreciate the value of life and also learn to appreciate the role the British and American forces are trying to play in that country. These two forces are they to stay until internal peace is achieved and that will benefit all the people of Iraq.

Militarily, no. Iraq will become a large Lebanon for a while, likely wind up partitioned into to three countries.
Or a Saddam like warlord will demonstrate an ability to exert control and be support by the US and British.

The Iraqi problem will never be solved unless the Iraqi's want it to be. For thousands of years they have lived a certain way how arrogant are we to come and try to change it just because it suits our purpose (OIL) Bush and his little lap dog Blair have the blood of tens of thousands on their hands. Is this Britain's Vietnam.

NO it can't. We are trying to "fix" a thousands of years old tribal war, using a 21st century, enlightened Western mindset. Those people don't comprehend what we call "peace and prosperity" and really want nothing to do with it. The And that's what WE can't comprehend. US will get beat and leave humiliated just like the Soviet Union did, and centuries of invaders before them.
