First off they need to be trained. Second you do understand that Chihuahuas are not outdoor dogs. Third ask yourself if you are willing to put time, energy and patience into their training.

Depending on your schedule if you work or go to school then you will have to adapt the schedule to your time or message me with more info.

This is how to do it-
1. Let them out to go potty as soon as you get up. Leave them out for 10-15 minutes. This gives them time to snoop around.

2. Feed them on a set schedule once in the morning and once in the evening. I have my 7 Chihuahuas on a 5:30am & 5:30pm feed schedule. You feed them after they come back in from potty in the morning. Then after you get ready, shower and stuff usually about 1/2 hour to an hour then you offer them water.

3. I only offer water after feeding and during supervised playtime until potty training is set and obeyed. You can leave it down once they quit doing potty in the house.

4. As soon as you get home in the evening let them out FIRST for the usual 10-15 minutes. Then give them food and continue to get yourself situated, change clothes, etc. This usual time is about 1/2 hour to an hour then you offer them water.

5. Let them go potty again a couple of times during the late evening and right before you go to bed. Do not offer food or water before you go to bed or you will have a mess to clean up in the morning.

6. During the potty training get some enzyme based pet stain cleaning solution from the local pet store. Spray this on all areas you know they frequent or may have frequented for potty. Limit thier access to these areas while the cleaner works.

7. If you are gone for extended periods of time then invest in crates for your Chihuahuas. They are not cruel or harmful and can make the process go smoother. I use medium size crates but you can use the small pet taxi size if your Chihuahuas are smaller than an adult cat. I prefer my to have more room and also use them when company visits to cut down on the chaos. You can get pet beds made for the crates or use fleece baby blankets.

8. The key to this training is the schedule and patience. It will work if done properly. I have trained all seven of my Chihuahuas and helped other Chihuahua owners and other breed owners potty train their dogs.

I have faith in you to succeed as well and based on the fact that you are willing to search for help shows you would rather have them indoors with you as model member of the family. It should take just over a week to get a solid schedule and full training in a couple of weeks to a month.

Hang in there and if you have any other questions just send me a message.

There are a few reasons your two-month-old kitten is choosing to urinate outside of the litter box. First, is she choosing to poop in the box? If she poops in the box, the urinary tract or bladder infection mentioned above may be something to check into. She also may not like where you have chosen to keep the litter box. (I had a cat that did not like going to the basement to use the litter box so chose the closet instead.) Moving the litter box may have an effect. Is she declawed? Declawed cats have a much higher percentage of urinating outside the litter box than cats that still have their claws. How long have you had her? Normally the mother teaches the kittens how to use the litter box. Is it possible your kitten was taken away a little too soon (before six weeks - eight is normally recommended). You may need to physically teach her how to use the litter box. Place her in the litter box. Lift her paw. Show her how to scratch at the litter. Then let her leave. Whenever you catch her peeing outside of the litter box spray her with a spray bottle, say "No," "Bad" or make the hissing or tisking sound, then pick her up and put her in the litter box. If this is the problem, she will soon learn to associate peeing with the litter box. Having her spayed when she is old enough may also help the problem. Ask your veterinarian about this. It seems to work better with male cats. Something to note from personal experience: When my cat decided his litter box was not suitable any longer, we talked to our vet. He told us to put whole peppercorns on the floor. My cat never peed on top of the peppercorns. I'm not sure if this is possible for you because you said your cat is urinating everywhere and not one specific corner and because of your son. If you can baby gate of a room that the cat does it in, it may be worth a try. Good luck and remember, she is still a kitten. Don't give up on her too easily, especially before you invest in a squirt bottle!

If they aren't neutered get them fixed. That is usually what will do the trick. If they are urinating everywhere it sounds like they are marking territory and are rather competitive.

Clean up with Simple Solution or Nature's Miracle. There is a spray "Boundery" I believe it's called that is a deterrant. It's safe to spray inside the house on carpets/upholstery.

Good Luck

Unless you live where it isn't very cold, please give the dogs to someone who will love the, train then and allow them to live inside. It is animal cruelty to leave such a small dog outside in the winter, any time at all, but specially during the winter. Males that are neutered at an early age usually do not do this.
