I am trying to get into CCM (College-Conservatory of Music, University of Cincinnati), and would love to hear from anyone who has attended CCM, or is currently attending, especially for classical guitar, but anyone's advice is appreciated. How did you like the faculty, facilities, people, and overall experience. And anyone else who has knowledge of CCM is welcome to comment too.

I've not attended CCM personally, but by all accounts it is a wonderful school with an excellent faculty. Two of my vocal instructors (at the same small University!) were graduates of CCM, and one returned there after a year of teaching at my University. Kathleen Battle, a very well-known classical singer, graduated with both a Bachelor's and (I think) a Master's in Music Education from CCM.

Go for it! And good luck!

I didn't go to CCM, but I went to Indiana University, which was a the other big music school. I always thought of CCM as a great school for undergraduates- like Julliard. As a beginning student it would be great to study there and to work with the very fine faculty, and later, should you study more, go to a school like Indiana or Michiagan or Eastman School of Music. Some schools are dominated by graduate students- you want some to be around, but you don't want to wait 4 years before you finally begin to shine... I think CCM would be a great choice for this.
