If you are having trouble keeping things down my advice to you is SIP not drink gingerale. when you eat no dairy products at all that makes it worse. Try Soda crackers. What I find works wonders is a little thing my grandmother taught me. Drink Tea. If none of that works you may want to seek emergency treatment.

During my second pregnancy, the morning sickness was so bad I could keep nothing down for days and got so dehydrated I nearly lost the baby.
The one thing that I found I could drink in small doses was strawberry flavored milk, like Nestle's Quik or something similar. After that, any friend of mine who had a nausea and dehydration problem was suggested Strawberry milk by me.
So far, it has helped every time, even for those who don't like the taste.

For an adult try some flat Coke A Cola or Ginger Ale for a child try Pedialyte. I personally drink Poweraid when I am dehydrated and have a sour stomach it helps me a great deal but the flavors are a bit hard to take for some people.
