Do you have to get over a guy? ive been crying for along time and im really lonely and i hate it i juss wanna know how many tears does it take to get over a guy??

It isn't how much you cry that determines how long it will take for you to get over a guy it's how much courage you have as a person. There must be some reason that he made you cry and focus on that just think about all of his faults and everything you didn't like when you were together or when you wanted to be with him. No guy is worth the tears and if you do find one that is he won't make you cry. Just get out and have fun, try more activities that will make you feel better... things you like to do. You never know maybe along the way you will meet someone better for you who respects you and will wipe away all of your tears and make you forget completely about this other guy. You will never know what else is out there unless you give it a shot. I have never cried over a guy and some people may find that heartless but I pride myself in it. Tell yourself that you can do better and get out there. Good luck.

as i guy i know that we make many mistakes. we guys arent worth a tear because is us, guys, that should suffer more when a relationship ends because the woman chooses the person she wants to be with, the guy is mostly the rejected one. be proud of yourself. things happen and you cant do anything about it. jusy move on. dont go out getting another rebound bf because that would be a lie and it wont be fair for you and the other dude. let all the bad memories out and the good ones will last, but dont rely on them. forget what happened there are more men in the world and losing one simply means that you havent found the love of your life. tears will remind you of the pain. and remember "scars remind us that the past is real" so please look up to the future. :) hope that things get better

With every tear drop you're letting go a tear at a time, every person is different so no one except you knows when you'll get over it. Once you've completely let go you'll remember the pain you feel now and do whatever it takes not to ever feel it again. Don't sweat it in a couple of days you'll be asking yourself what the f*** was I thinking, because you'll realize he was so not worth your time. Good-Luck

it typically takes half the time you spent going out with him to get over him. For instance, if you'd gone out with him in 6 months, you should be over him within about 3.
As for the number of tears, I can't really say. Spend a little time alone to cry and let it go, and then go out, have some fun with the girls, and meet someone new.

Not every relationship is perfect, as a matter of fact... no relationship is! There are good times, and then there are bad times. You have to realize that those tears DO mean something... and it should be an experience you learn from. Yeah, you're hurt, and yeah, you feel like its the end of the world... but you have to stand up and say, "I deserve more, and I'm gonna be happy, no matter what happened!" It takes as many tears as you are willing to let it take. You may be telling yourself things that arent true. Start telling yourself that you're better than that guy, and pretty soon, you start believing it.
So take up kickboxing. Maybe yoga, or knitting. Try some acting classes, and put those tears to use!
Bottom line: Get over him, sweetie. He's not worth your tears!

getting over a guy takes time so cry as much as you want and then when you run out of tears head for the rock road ice cream

You will probably never get over them completely. Parts of you will alaways love that person. That doesn't mean you can't move on. It might take a while before you are comfortable to start dating again. Just make sure that while you are still hurting, you go out with friends and HAVE FUN!

Heartbreak is the worst feeling in the world, i know how you feel! what helped me is i sad and cryed over one of my ex's forever and i wasnt ready to date just yet but this gorgeous guy asked me out and even though i wasnt over the other one yet i still just went ahead and went out with him, and we've been together for almost 8 months now and we're very very in love, so i would just try to find someone else to repair your heart!
oh and word of advice, dont talk about your ex in front of the new guy, it helps you to get over him a ton faster!
