Please, don't make this question more than it is... I looked for an alternative to "what made you to have your first tattoo made?" since that sounded a bit strange (English is not my mother tongue)... No hidden implications!

all my friends were doing it! no, i'm just kidding. i wanted one, plain and simple. it's not a personal memory, or a rememberance. i just liked it. it was flash, not my own creation, but i don't regret it, and i still love it and get compliments from everyone. i got a tribal sun with a scorpion in it. my next one is going to be a big set of wings on my back. can't wait!

I wanted a tattoo when I was like 15. Of course my mom said no, I asked again at 16, NO! I asked at 18 she said my choice, I went out the same day and got one. As an artist, it seemed like the highest form of art! To decorate, not paper, but myself with something I created. My first tattoo was also a sign of friendship. We are still good friends today and its been 10yrs and counting since the tattoo, 3 b4 the tattoo! My second tattoo I drew myself!

I actually only just got my first tatoo the other day, i decided to do it after comming out of a bad relationship patch and realising that I'd forgotten certain things concerning my own identity. Created a tribal design out of the first letter of words which are important to me and had it put into my skin. Don't think i'll regret it because the meaning is more important to me than the design (lol although it looks awesome)

I was VERY young and my first b/f was a biker. All the female members of the gang was "tagged". Since I was TOO young to get it via my mom's approval (not to mention it was illegal in that state) I got it in a hidden location by one of the other females.

Although I don't regret getting it I did have it covered up due to me not being a part of that gang anymore. Now 25 years later I have many more tat's.

what made me get my first tattoo! hum... well a 500$ bet. some close friends and I where talking about what tattoos they had everybody but me had one. they all put up $100 each; basically they thought I was too much of a daddy's girl to do such a thing. so I went up to mammoth that was a strip mall here in Detroit and got a temporary. heck I made $500 bucks from that who wouldn't.

i have always been fascinated with tattoos for as long as i can remember i have loved them. so on my 18th birthday i went to a tattoo shop and got my first tattoo which was my name in korean (my mom is from korea) i loved it and was hooked. i got a few more tattoos that year and then i stopped. i really didn't have any inspiration. but in 2006 i was introduced to an amazing artist and we became friends. he tattooed me a lot last year (about 15 hours) and this year i have already started with 2 1/2 hours. the art is what drives me these days. tattoos can be beautiful art and i consider myself to be an art collector.

Pretty much a desire to have a tattoo and my huge interest and liking for body mods. I wanted the tattoo for me, and to this day, I still love it and I'm planning more.

I have wanted tattoos since I was little. My dad took me on my 18th bday, which happened to fall on Father's Day, for my first tattoo, and we both got one! Now I have a ton....

One of my assistant managers is in love with tattoos. He is also a great tattoo artist. He has lots of different types for different meanings, and i admire his personality and reasons for it. Ive always wanted a tattoo, but he broke that final straw for me.
