I'm going through a rough time right now. I go through phases where I can't seem to get anything done. I'm behind in my schoolwork right now, sleeping a lot during the day, and I'm eating a lot. Let me just say that I do NOT have depression, but I can't function under a lot of pressure, which I definately have right now. I'm afraid that I'm going to get in so deep that I will sink into depression, and not be able to pull myself together.

i'm GUESSING that you are a perfectionist and when you can't do it "right" (because you have a lot to do), then you tend to not do it at all...and thus fall behind in school and "can't seem to get anything done"...and of course anyone who starts to fall behind like that would start to cope by avoidance (sleeping alot) or become depressed.....and it's kind of a snowball effect because you just get more and more behind and are under more and more pressure....i suggest you prioratize....what absolutely has to get done today? tomorrow? this week? this month?....what is absolutely essential??is there a class you can drop? ....and think about it like this: will i still be worried about it a year from now?, most of the time what we are absolutely freaking out about we will not even remember in a year....remember that it's okay to not do your absolute best sometimes....good luck and hope you feel better

You must be in college :-) Life doesn't stop for you to catch up. Always remember that there are somethings that will help you DEAL with stress and pressure. Some examples are: Sleeping enough at night, eating healthy and consistent meals, staying away from drugs, alcohol, etc.
Stress will never go away, but if you take the time to give your body what it needs, it will be able to DEAL with it better.
AND TAKE A LOT OF DEEP BREATHS, IT REALLY WORKS!!!
Good Luck!

Ok you can say you do NOT have depression all you want to and you may be right. You may just not be able to deal with stress.
The point is that whaterver is wrong is disrupting your life and you need help.
BTW if we could relax we wouldnt need half the medication we are taking

Just do one small step at a time. Taking on all of it at once, is not only impossible... it's overwhelming.
