Cottage cheese does not make you gain weight any more or less than other foods. Weight gain is a matter of calories in (food) vs. calories out (exercise). If you eat too much of *any* food you will gain weight.

To make sure you are not taking in too many calories, it is important to avoid empty calories, like candy and pop, and eat foods that are high in nutrition. By nutrition, I mean foods that give you the essential things you need every day, like complete protein, vitamins and minerals. Cottage cheese most definately is a food that partially fills those requirements, so yes, it is good for you. Just don't eat too much of it.

:) This sounds gross, but my friend was in a beauty competitions and ate 2 of those 32oz tubs of fat free cottage cheese and nothing else for months. She was naturally not thin and when I saw here after she was a pick. So it depends on the amount you eat and what milk fat percentage. Not healthy if that's all you eat, but Fat-free has low sugar, a ton of protein, and little cholesterol. Amazing snack!

Cottage cheese is a great way to lose weight I also lost weight this way but I also mixed it with all kinds of fruit some people ate it plain with just salt and pepper or tomatoes not my favorite good luck and I know you'll look great!!

it's good for u.... just get the 1% milk fat or non fat... also, a certain amount of dairy (milk, cheese, yogurt, etc) is supposed to help w/ losing weight! i think it's just part of a balanced diet and exercise.. make sure u exercise at least 30 min to 1 hour a day....

Cottage cheese is bleurky! It sure can make you lose weight because you won't eat much of it!
