do people think they are considered "real", or "stupid" or, what? What do people think of internet relationships...that sometimes get serious....and its not only internet...but using phones, address, and planning on meeting. Is that common?

My relationship with my fiance actually began on the internet. We chatted for a couple for a couple of months then she finally gave me her real name and phone number. We talked on the phone for a couple of weeks and decided to meet face to face. Although we did not fall in love on line it was a way of us to become interested in one and other and to learn a bit of each others interests. People who speak of the people they chat with on-line as friends and/or lovers are living in a dream world as they do not really know that person they are chatting with and they (either one) could be someone completely different then they explain to others. I did chat with others and found that there are a lot of users and losers of both sexes on line so one needs to be careful with how much information they share with these strangers. Regardless, I personally do not believe in internet relationships but do believe that you can meet people on the computer that will later may become important parts of our lives after we have met them personally and gotten to know each other very well.

Well...Internet is about illusions! Don't take anything or anyone for what he/she claims to be!! If you are meeting someone in real, that you chatted on Internet, follow some basic rules...(1) Never meet him/her alone, (2) Meet the person in a public place, (3) have help handy, and take your time to assess the person before you take the next important step!!!

Be careful in these situations. I know that it is often fun when you are bored or intrigued and begin a friendship on-line. But be skeptical of letting it go to far. If you are in a current real time relationship and they find out about your on-line flirting that could be disaster, while the on-line love can think that things are more serious than you mean. As far as this being wrong....well I hope not......I would be guilty! LOL!

i guess u r in 1:). honestly it can be real, depend on what kind of person your partner is...most of the guys only luv to flirt though . but if ur lucky, u'll get a good guy. love is universal..it can happen anytime and just about anywhere even on the net. i am with a guy i met in icq for almost 2 years now..and he's going to be here in my country soon :)
