My girlfriend is a nanny, and finding time to eat while working is tough. Meal replacement bars seem like a good option, but she doesn't want to take in too many calories because she's trying to lose weight as well.

The reason for asking about bars specifically is because she has little or no time to sit down to a meal while working as a nanny- it's a matter of convenience and portability.

they all are - ever hear of a bar with meat in it? Just remember even broccoli screams when you rip it from the ground.

she will lose weight no matter what she eats as long as shes a vegan. my son lost 30 pounds-he didnt eat "bars" although he did on occassion as a snack.
we make ahead some meals and freeze them in the freezer, as well as thai soups and purchase frozen meals as well.
being vegan just proves what is in our meat....just by the weight loss alone.
good luck. (tell her not to worry about calories....but do increase her vegetable proteins...
flaxseed sprinkled on food is a good one.
