It can last from a matter of days to forever. It is very treatable. The earlier the intervention the better the chances of a positive outcome.

This can also be triggered in people. Find out if you have a trigger and solve that problem. If there isn't a trigger then you may need to get a psychiatrist to prescribe to you a good drug.

Alot of times a person who already has a mental illness will have agoraphobia triggered because of a paranoid feeling that other people are looking at them and will see all their flaws.

It typically never goes away unless it has come about by a trigger, and as I said above you will have to find that trigger and fix it.

You just have to make yourself go outside and if you cannot then you will have to go to the psychiatrist for help because the problem only gets worse. You get more and more comfortable staying indoors as time goes by.

It doesn't go away unless the person seeks help, or some kind of a major life change occurs and they're forced to ignore their fears.
Sometimes agoraphobia can be contained to certain places or situations (crowded malls for example) and other times it can escalate to include simply leaving the house.

According to the APA, as stated in the DSM5 , phobias do not generally go away on their own. Treatment is necessary and can sometimes be long-term.

It depends, I can't give you a time line but there is good news! it can go away! mine went away but it took a lot of pushing on my part to get my butt out of the house and face my "demons" but I was also on medication so that helped as well.
