I had to give this same speech. A persuasive speech can be about anything. So my suggestion to you would be pick out something you know a great deal about. I chose hunting and hanging a hunting stand. I drew a lot pictures to diagram what I was doing, and I even took a few pictures of me doing it in my back yard. Sometimes good visuals can make up for a bad speech, so if you are real nervous then make a lot of pictures and diagrams and that alone will impress your speech teacher and you will get a good grade.

Select something that you feel passionate about.
Do you like to read? There are those who don't, tell them why you do and suggest books to read, and ideas for what they might find interesting. As their personal interests, fiction or non-fiction, poetry, etc.
physical fitness: simple things those who don't want to join a gym or workout can do to be in better health.
I live near a State Capital city. I seldom went to the city, and never visited the museum, or the capitol. It was many years later that my husband and I took a day and made the trip by bus and toured our own local sites... You could talk on the advantages of doing something along this line. Don't thinks there's much going on? Just check the news...
And speaking of news-- how about persuading people to read more than the comics, social, and sports pages of the paper... what will they find? what will they learn?

I guess it would depend on what I was trying to persuade them to do. The best advice I could give you would be to focus on all of the good things about your topic and not so much the bad. Talk about it's uses and what you personally like about it. It's always nice to have a personal touch with the subject your talking about but at the same time make sure that you make some vital points that aren't as opinionated. When your trying to sell something it's best to say Buy my product rather than You should buy my product. That one simple command doesn't get lost as easily as a suggestion. Make sure your introduction and closing paragraugh are strongly written because the introduction is what makes your audience want to listen and your conclusion is what sticks in their mind in the end. Good luck.

To be caring toward others.
Discuss what they have versus what some people don't have (basic things like housing or clothing or education)
Encourage them to help others. End by saying something like "tomorrow I would like each and everyone to bring...) clothing, toys, food whatever you feel is appropriate and something you believe in.
If everyone turns up with something in class then you AND YOUR TEACHER will know if was a success
