All people are accountable to God whether they have “heard about Him” or not. The Bible tells us that God has clearly revealed Himself in nature (Romans 1:20) and in the hearts of people (Ecclesiastes 3:11). The problem is that the human race is sinful; we all reject this knowledge of God and rebel against Him (Romans 1:21-23). Apart from God's grace, God would give us over to the sinful desires of our hearts, allowing us to discover how useless and miserable life is apart from Him. This He does for those who reject Him (Romans 1:24-32).
In reality, it is not that some people have not heard about God. Rather, the problem is that they have rejected what they have heard and what is readily seen in nature. Deuteronomy 4:29 proclaims, “But if from there you seek the LORD your God, you will find him if you look for him with all your heart and with all your soul.” This verse teaches an important principle: everyone who truly seeks after God will find Him. If a person truly desires to know God, God will make Himself known.
The problem is, “there is no one who understands, no one who seeks God” (Romans 3:11). People reject the knowledge of God that is present in nature and in their own heart, and instead decide to worship a “god” of their own creation. It is foolish to debate the fairness of God sending someone to hell who never had the opportunity to hear the Gospel of Christ. People are responsible to God for what God has already revealed to them. The Bible says that people reject this knowledge, and therefore God is just in condemning them to hell.
Instead of debating the fate of those who have never heard, we, as Christians, should be doing our best to make sure that they hear. We are called to spread the Gospel throughout the nations (Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 1:8). The fact that we know people reject the knowledge of God revealed in nature must motivate us to proclaim the good news of salvation through Jesus Christ. Only through accepting the Gospel of God’s grace through the Lord Jesus Christ can people be saved from their sins and rescued from an eternity apart from God in hell.
If we assume that those who never hear the Gospel are granted mercy from God, we will run into a terrible problem. If people who never hear the Gospel are saved…we should make sure that no one ever hears the Gospel. The worst thing we could do would be share the Gospel with a person and have him or her reject it. If that were to happen, he or she would be condemned. People who do not hear the Gospel must be condemned, or else there is no motive for evangelism. Why run the risk of people possibly rejecting the Gospel and condemning themselves – when they were previously saved because they had never heard the Gospel?

Essentially they can't. Not with any true authority anyway. Some honestly believe that the Bible is the direct word of God, so they believe that they speak with an irrefutable sense of certainty. But if you said that you had a book that claimed the same about them, you would be labelled a heretic, heathen or just mad.
Many Christians forget that their faith is just that, a faith, it hinges on belief, not fact. Some get very upset when you say things like I just have, but too many also expect everybody else to be cool with them telling those that don't believe that they will be tortured for enternity in Hell, like that's something people are not meant to be insulted by.

ahh, I see your point. But Christians have been "introduced" to the christian God, they have just not been introduced to God. There is a big difference. God is all loving, and accepting of all religions/ over all religions (allah, yahweh, the source, etc.etc) all paths lead to God that are in love. Christians are misinstructed.
I know people are going to hate me for saying this, because they dont think they are misinstructed, but thats okay. You can even say I am going to hell, but I know where my "salvation" lies and I know that what I believe is a lot stronger than what others believe about me.
They just dont understand and have been blinded.
Now go ahead, start handing out the thumbs down.

My parents were definitely far from Christians and I became one in my 30's after much soul searching and research. I don't think one is better than the other I say to each his own.
The Christian bible says we are judged by what we have heard and those who have never heard of Jesus will be judged differently than those who have. Peace :-)

Honestly, this is why any religious system that's happy to condemn non-believers is dangerous and ought to be stamped out of existence. There are many decent Christians and Muslims - really great people - who are much better than their conception of god. Since this is either the religion of their birth or that provided them with a salvation experience, they are unlikely to pull themselves out of this reality tunnel.
It happens, but not a lot, particularly with Christians. Jesus' moral and poetic quality often obscures what a royal jerk Jehovah is.
All the best,
Lazarus

Because they believe the Bible to be the word of God, and the Bible says that there is only way way to Heaven (their way).
BTW, most Christians won't say that you personally will go to Hell, because, they will say, that is only for God to judge. But they say they know that they personally will be going to heaven, and that anyone like you will presumably go to Hell, based on how God makes these decisions.

Whoever denies Jesus Christ as Lord is going to hell. some human beings say they have faith in Christ yet they have faith issues opposite to what he taught. so they actually can no longer have faith in him. including Catholics who have faith you pass to purgatory to pay on your sins. while Jesus teaches that he got here to pay for our sins and that ought to recommend purgatory isn't needed. Catholics even have faith that if we don't do the 7 sacraments we can hell. yet Jesus teaches us that with the intention to be saved we could have faith in him. It speaks no longer something of doing religious rituals or praying a rosary. so which you spot, there are a number of fake believers who would be flushed out in basic terms as elementary as an unbeliever.

That is why I believe that all religions are the same, if you look at they mythology of religions most of them tell the same story. They tell you to follow the same basic guidelines. Everyone worships the same Trinity they just give them different names. Jesus, Abraham,Buddha, Mohammad. Read their stories.

I'm a Christian and I don't say anyone's going to H*ll. I'm just sure I won't go there myself, and I want others to have the same assurance.
Blessings to you!
