No that isn't too many. I am a long distance runner and I do push-ups for some strength training. I usually do one arm push-ups to bring my reps down a bit. Push-ups are a great exercise, but you have to remember that the weak link bodypart in the push-up is NOT the chest, triceps, or even the deltoids (shoulders), it is the connective tissue in the shoulders (ligaments and tendons). If I don't do lots of stretching and arms circles and arm raises before I start doing push-ups, I can be guaranteed to have shooting pain in one or both shoulders. Hope that helps. :)

yor shoulder is hurting because yor body isn't used to it. is all that not many but u will be sore till u get used to it. the pain is good just means that yor building the muscle up is all.

also try stretching yor shoulder out before u do them

take yor right armplace it behind yor head and pull it gently twords the left side of yor body same with the left this will help

Too many? No. If you were getting this by doing 5 sets of 100, maybe it would be more normal...but still fairly odd if you have conditioned yourself to do that many.

If you are getting a consistent pain from this little amount of exercise, see a doctor.
