I take it you do it for some sort of relief. The fact is that you probably induce the problem with the forcing of gas from your system. Try eating less gas producing foods, drinking at least 2 liters of water daily, and exercising a bit more. I suspect your diet is somewhat irregular and inconsistent and you need to change those behaviors.

i have Crohns and this is a life ive led for over 30 year,, keep a diary on what you eat and when this happens,, most like food related,, sugar is the Number 1 culprit for gas,, no pop or sweets, then dairy foods, like milk, and then bread,, ..... milk and bread break down into sugars and thats causes gas,,, this is exactly what a doctor is going to ask you so start your journal now and be ready when you get to the doctors in a few months,,,

It sounds like a benign digestive disorder.
Try digestive enzymes before each meal as well as apple cider vinegar with the "mother" (Bragg's brand) at least twice daily (2 tbs.)

Stop doing it. Try Pepcid AC or Tums or Rolaids. That might help. Or you could go see your doctor.

If you can do it at will, then stop it. Stop making it happen.
