I want to make curtains out of canvas drop-cloth, but need to find some large grommets for the hanging holes. Also, where can I find the grommet machine/puncturer? The large grommet size would need to be about 1 inch diameter.

Hobby Lobby - they have everything you need in sizes larger than 1" even. Look by the fabric section on the back wall.....there you will find all of the hardware, including the tool to crimp the grommets.

1" sounds awfully large from what I know (very little).
Try HarborFreight.com
I'd also try a web search for "large grommets".

You can buy the grommets at some hardare stores and most fabric stores.
