Wow! We are back to that Jewish genealogy that we call "the Bible". The Bible is a history of the Jewish blood line from Adam to Jesus.
Proof: All the names in the Bible are Jewish names.
Creation story? The front of the Bible are Moses' notes on a Q&A session with God. Well the original Bible didn't say God. But someone from an advanced Planet was answering questions in a way that Moses could comprehend even with his limited amount of awareness at the time.
How would I (if I were God) improve the Bible?
Well I would add this preface to the Bible:
"Harmony is harmony.
Disharmony is the only sin against God."
"Any verse in this book (these scrolls) that conflicts with harmony is probably a corruption or misinterpretation by an early church leader, or a present day Bubba Preacher, or a Religious Leader who wants to build and grow his Empire."

As you may or may not know, the Bible is a collection of the writings of the Apostles and Prophets that received revelations from God. Also it is a Testament of the life and divinity of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. During this compilation the transcripts were passed through many hands and many translations. Because of this there are way to many translations and interpretations of Gods word to his children. It is also the reason ther are so many different Religions on this planet claiming in one form or another to be Christian religions, albeit many have great principles and teachings for good. This disunity also gives fuel to Satan, his followers, atheists and the like. So the only improvement I would make to the Bible would be a pure untouched translation of His word and the teachings of Christ.

Take out contradictions, nonsense, and irrational things. Put in real things that people can use, above simple common sense adages.
I'd add a section for technology that hasn't been invented yet, but people will need guidelines for. It would be great if the bible discussed topics such as cloning, nanotechnology, bio-warfare issues, resurrections of frozen brains, etc. I wouldn't have room for "interpretation" and there would be nothing (like the unicorn or four corners of the world) that people would say "Oh, that's not literal."

I would only put parts about love in it. I would remove Pauls books. I would state over and over again that homosexuality is not a sin. I would pound into this world the importance of tolerance and understanding. I would allow options that if you didn't want to believe my way that was fine, this is a book of love, after all.

I wouldn't. Since I'm God and I wrote the Bible I don't need to.

There is no way to improve it. It has all you need to know for you to believe in him and to tell you that he loves and wants the best for you, but at the same time to teach you to have faith in him.

First, none of us is God. Second, we can't change the Bible because it is His word.

God is God and I am not. Simple as that. I have enough to ponder as a sinner, saved by Grace. I am not going to waste my life trying to re-write God's perfected Word.
