her work looks great and realistic. so i say go for it. as far as red goes i think it would look great. whatever color you want to do would be great. especally with pale skin. any color will be bold and bright. good luck!

Sorry I can't guide you to any tattoo artists in the area since I don't know the bay area, but just go to Yahoo's search page (or any search engine) and enter your zip code and the word tattoo. You'll get a link for local parlors near you and a map of where they are located. A really good artist can take any picture and put it on you. Even if it's a guy who usually does skulls, what matters is his/her ability to do the subtle blends.
Shop around for the right artist. (I can tell you're smart enough to realize this already, but since a tatt is permanent, you really have to do it right the first time!)
The floral samples you submitted look great, but the thing that really matters is if YOU like them.
Pale skin is great for floral art. My wife is fair skinned and ink show up very well on her. Keep in mind that colors like yellow and white are the most permanent of permanent. I've read that you can remove a black tattoo using lasers, but that colored inks are very hard to get rid of if you change your mind.
That said, if this is who you are, go for it!

Its up to you on the artist. Its good you are researching, but don't forget there are other people out there. Look up places near your city on Google maps, call places up and go visit them. That artist is good, but I would check out others too.
You know what can happen to whites (turn brown, fade, not show up at all) and yellows (blend in with skin, make you look sickly, fade) by now...and you shouldn't ask for colors since most people LOVE bold colors on pale skin.
Only other rose color I can think of is orange or terracotta (brownish orange)

She has some good art. You don't want yellows, white, or reds for they don't like to stay no matter you skin tone. Sounds like an awsome tattoo. Not sure about the area you're looking for but here's a site that might be able to help you find something there. There are professionals there that can lead you in the right direction along with some links. Don't let anyone talk you out of the tattoo you want. It's yours not theirs.
Hope this helps and happy tattooing!:-)

That is a very good artist.
You should speak to your artist about what colors to use, but white will not show nor stay, but you should speak to your artist about this and he/she will confirm this fact.
Any actual colors (not white) will show wonderfully on pale skin and stay that way if you take care of your ink.
