Unfortunatly I have a gut and love handles and just all around middle fat. Now I am starting to care. I want to look nice for this guy that I like. I would like to have my stomach look like Janet Jackson eventually, but for right now just got to work on the middle. Bad thing is im LAZY!!!!!! I want to try something that is both fun and exercise like. Thanks for all your help.

My first suggestion is to find a friend to excercise with , it makes things alot easier and you can be of support to eachother when "you are not really in the mood" And in general just have a fun time spending time together :-)

First of all, eat right. Don't eat alot of trans and saturated fat. You need to burn off the fat first to get muscle. So do cardio : run, dance, kickbox, jump rope, whatever. An easy way to tone abs is to do Pilates. Of course, you can always amp it up, but for the most part, Pilates is fairly easy and sweat-free. Look at fitness magazines for tips. Work on your rectus abdominus (front ab muscle), and obliques (sides), and transverse abdominus (deep ab muscle). A no fail solution is crunches. Pull your stomach in when starting each crunch. Inhale and exhale. Exercise 3-5 times a week for results.

Sit ups/crunches are the best way to tone your stomach up. Start off with 100 a night and increase it by 25 per night until you get up to about 500 a night...you'll see your stomach go down dramatically. Try to focus on your goal and if you have to tape a picture of Janet up on your wall so that each crunch can lead you to the next one then that's what you have to do. Also try to join a gym and hirer a trainer....they can instruct you on different types of exercise to target that area.

Any cardio exercise will help you burn the fat. Right now I am using a hip hop work out video I purchased at target.... It is fun to learn new dance moves and burn calories at the same time!

Cardio. Walk, run, swim and a high protein diet. At least 3 times a week for an hour.
