I am thinking about taking phentermine to help me lose a few pounds quickly. It is the generic version of Adipex...has anyone taken the phentermine? Does it work the same as Adipex? And yes, I know...exercise is better to do. I am just considering my options.

Yes, I take phentermine to help with my PCOS. I can't really compare it to Adipex though because I have never taken it before. Doctors don't really prescribe phentermine that often though and you have to be closely monitored while on it.

I have taken Phentermine. You lose weight quick, but as soon as you stop taking it, you gain it all back. I lost 30 lbs in the first 8 weeks. With prescription it cost around $100.00 a bottle, but it is not worth it when you gain it back. Good Luck!
