Why does there have to be a difference. The difference between compassion and sex is. Compassion is the showing of your love. By the things you do. Example-Romantic-Romantic Dinner, Body massage, Roses,Gifts. Sex can be compassionate. Like slow love making. But in all aspects sex is sex.

Do you mean 'passion' or 'compassion'. You can feel compassion for a stray dog, a homeless person on the street, someone who has lost a loved one, etc, etc. Sex is just what it says 'sex'.

Compassion - when you feel sorry for someone.
SEX - is an act of pleasure nothing about feeling sorry.
I'll never make sex for compassion.

In which case, 'passion' better sums up the desire for someone, usually including wanting to have sex with them. Having sex is just the act itself.
