During a January revival an evangelist asked the people
in line what they needed. One man's request was for his
hearing.
The evangelist spit on his finger, put it in the man's
ear, prayed for him and asked him, "How's your
hearing?"
The man replied, "I don't know. It's not until next
Tuesday."

Very good and quite unexpected.
Reminds me of the Evangelical meeting where the preacher claimed to be able to heal people.
"Come up onto the stage anyone who's afflicted." He shouts. A guy with crutches hobbles to the front and is hoisted onto the stage. "Anyone else?" Asks the preacher and a little guy walks up. "Right." Says the reverend turning to the guy on crutches "And what's your problem?" "It's my legs" He says "They don't work." "No problem, we'll cure you." Came the reply "And you my friend, what's your problem?" He asks the second guy. "I've gggggot a sssssspeech imppppppppediment." He stammers. "No problem pal. Now then, both of you go behind this curtain and we''l cure you." The pair disappear behind a curtain at the rear of the stage. The Reverend turns to the crowd and says "Brethren we're going to cure these two unfortunates. I want you all to concentrate all you faith on doing that." For five minutes there's total silence as the crowd obey. Eventually the preacher says "OK folks. We've done it. Now then, you with the crutches. Throw them over the curtain." Sure enough a pair of crutches fly over the curtain to tumultuous applause. "Now then." Shouts the preacher totally excited. "You with the speech impediment. Tell us what happened." Came the reply "He fell fffflat on his ferferferferking bbbback."
