on my camera there's a thing where you can change it to different settings.. does anyone know what each of these are called/a website? thx

Did you try reading the manual?
It will take the same amount of time as reading any website or posts that will be put here and will be a lot less ambiguous since you didn't mention the model of your camera and people will have to guess.

instruction book. or look at the little icon, will tell you what it is for,,, outdoors, speed, panoramic,,, etc.
