Well Dave, you see the operative words here are "long thin tube."
This is a compliment to you. If she can take that, that means you must be hung like a stallion. And that is somethint to be right proud of, pardner.

You shouldn't be asking how she'll manage! The doctors will see to it. The questions is how are you managing with a wife that won't give you the satisfaction of allowing your long, thin tube down her throat!

Most likely she will have some amount of sedation and even if she does not have sedation the thin tube slides down very easily they will instruct her to swallow as it goes down. Have her practice with a cold Popsicle before she goes in, it is helpful and will also get her throat ready by pre numbing it with a frozen treat.
Good Luck

I wouldn't worry too much, most people would feel uneasy with a long thin tube going down their throat.. :)

There are always x-rays...or they could put her to sleep first then do the procedure. I heard there is a new thing a little camera you swallow like a pill and that does the internal x-raying while the doctor watches the camera while it goes thru the person's system.

The scopic apparatus/procedures used these days involve a very tiny intrusive device, should be no worries.

I am sure that the Doctors know what they are doing. Just let them do their job. Try not to worry. Think positive, things will be okay.
