He is born to a teenage pesant girl in a manger in an obscure village in the middle of a dessert. And the whole world is supposed to hear about it and be converted.
Instead the messaged is massaged and corrupted and takes so long to move along that by the time it reaches other places it's received with mistrust or outright rejection. Then everyone grabs a stick and the first religious confrontation starts. Should God have known that his plan would create war and hatred because the way He marketed it?

Correction--His Mother was not a peasant girl, but a daughter and a sister of a high priest. She prepared her son for a bar-mitzvah so well that he became the youngest rabbi ever.

Perhaps the followers of various religions and fractions of the same religion fight as do the participants in any other violent group sport. Some people love it. This is my opinion, I cannot presume to understanding God's plans, reasons, or strategies. Thank you for asking.

God did make a plan to bring the wayward children home. Satan failed to see it. The plan was recorded elsewhere in the Bible. I think Satan was powerless to cause the death of baby Jesus but he was again powerless to avert the crucifixion of Jesus. In fact, Satan could not trust man either. Even the Antichrist at the end times who is to be working with him, rebels against him. So we can say, God has a brilliant marketing plan not to sell but to give each of His creature a gift of eternal life, son-ship and eternal home. But not all would accept the gift, what a pity for those who reject the gift. This is strange. Because being a marketing plan, it provides taker choice. It does not force anyone to receive his gift.

All the more reason to keep preaching the good news of Jesus Christ..

"PREACH THE WORD, in season and out...reprove, rebuke, and exhort with all patience and doctrine; for the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine...but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers telling them what they WANT to hear...." (2Tim.4:2)

"Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts..."
(2 Peter 3:3)

Since there was no media back then, one man's story turned into another mans religion.

Silly question. It wasn't God's marketing plan. No need to say more.

It's not the way God "Marketed" it, it's the way Satan has perverted it.
