Of course, that is, if you pay them off right. I'm assuming they help your credit a little, but i wonder by how much, or if I'm better off to just get a normal credit card.

Yes. ANY type of Credit line will always help your credit if you use it carefully. Likewise it can hurt your credit as well.

Many financial experts feel store credit cards are the best way to build credit.

Since it is a credit card, it does help you build credit. I think it carries just as much weight as a normal credit card because if you cannot pay off a store credit card, what makes creditors think you can pay them the monthly payments you owe?

It hits your credit report just as any other credit card would. However, the credit reporting bureaus will note if you have one or more "major" credit cards (usually they mean Visa or MasterCard) and see that as a positive if it has a good history.

Paying your VS card on time will help your credit and also help you looking just fine

a normal credit card is the best....store cards are not viewed favorably by the credit reporting agencies....but anything is better than nothing

any form of credit that u pay ON TIME builds a credit report that is favorable

They do show up on credit reports, so yes they can help your credit score... depending of course on how they are used.

they will help your credit as long as you make your payments on time. just remember that they have a higher interest rate. make a few payments, then get a bank credit card and transfer your balance.
