Yes, esp. if you're drinking highly caffienated drinks like coffee, tea and coke. Red Bull and "energy" drinks are also loaded with caffiene and taurine which is a powerful stimulant.
Excessive B vitamins will also cause this.
And of course being overweight and not getting enough exercise makes your heart work too hard. Get your blood pressure checked, you could have hypertension.

Absolutely. Especially if you are overweight. Losing weight and a good diet can help prevent/lessen the troubles of palpitations. But once you have it, it is hard to get rid of if not incurable. High blood pressure is another cause of heart palpitations. Still, it does all go back to diet and fitness.

Of course!! All that cholesterol build up in your system means the heart has to work harder which can cause it to have palpitations and other severe problems.

Definitely more so if you are overweight. But saying that my mum gets palpitations if she eats bananas and she isn't overweight. If I were you I would go to the doc's and get checked out.

most definitely especially one loaded with greasy fat. at least you where able to recognize that the reason for your heart palpitations could be your diet. i don`t know what you are eating but if it is high in fat content you should cut it. you do not want to clog your arteries.

Too much fatty foods can cause heart disease or other unusual heart conditions. Being overweight can also put pressure on the heart and cause it to work harder, hence the irregular rhythm.
