Tricky one. How do you feel about it? In my experience there usually has to be a gap and some time to pass before you really can be mates with someone you used to be in a relationship with.

It's a tricky one though as usually they are a good mate too and it would be ideal if the transition went easily from boyfriend/ girlfriend to mates.

I wish you lots of luck and just be really honest and do what suits you at the end of the day.

I got dumped by an ex and i still stayed friends, aslong as you can try and forget about the fact that he dumped you and don't keep bringing up the past then you should be fine.

Just let him know that theres no hard feelings between you but you dont want him flaunting other girls in your face

you can only do what you want! if you want to be friends then go ahead as there are plenty of people that are still mates! I'm still mates with my ex and we get on great but you can only do what you feel is right.

properly, for starters, how long grow to be your friends relatonship with the ex? and how long has it been on account that theyve broken up? do they nonetheless have something left over from the relationship? those are 3 needed questions maximum critically,in case you agree directly to go out you're able to desire to be truthful on your chum and ask her if its ok, because of the fact in case you adult males do have some thing and start up up a relationship , you're able to desire to get the ok out of your chum till now it gets akward. Its some thing you're able to desire to weigh the percentages on your man or woman, given you didnt supply a lot of an evidence. wish this helped.

Yes, but if it turns out he's changed his mind and is using your friendship to get back together, don't fall into the trap. Maybe you should wait a few months till all your feelings about the relationship have settled down. Good luck with it all xx

When my first love broke up with me after two years. He wanted to be friends and I fell for it. He knew how to get to me and play with my feelings. He would act like he was on the verge of getting back together with me. When he got what he wanted (sex), he left me heart broken. I fell for it a couple of times, until my heart couldn't take it anymore. So, I guess as long as your ex just wants to be friends, it's cool, but BEWARE if he tries to use you as a BOOTY CALL.

difficult one - staying friends might not help you move on to another relationship if you think there may still be a chance of a reconciliation - i think just being able to be civilised if you bump into each other is probably best rather than keeping regular contact

it depends what he wants, he may and i'm not sure just want you so he can come back to you when things are not going so well, don't be his emotional crutch.
He dumped you for a reason, move on and let him play with some-one elses feeling.
My advice is never go back, it's a mistake.

I wouldn't but, if you are a very sexual person it keeps you from sleeping with other people and making your, 'numbers go up' and it's with someone you know already plus, being mates with someone who you know but aren't together with is awesome!
