I have never been pregnant, my husband and I have been trying to conceive for about 7 months now and for some reason this month I feel different. I have a few different signs that might indicate pregnancy but the one that has me a little concerned is this.... I do check my cervix as a means of determining my most fertile days and I keep note of them so that I know what to look for the next month. ( please don't lecture me on this my doctor is aware that I am doing this ) For the last two or three days when I check my cervix it has been soft and closed and changes from a medium to high position sometimes but this is what is bothering me now, things up there seem really swollen and so does my female parts down below. I don't know if this is a bad thing or something that could be a positive anyone with help I would appreciate it a ton

What could be happening is that you are probably checking too regularly. The best way is to figure out when you ovulate. That is what my doctor told me. She said that you can have sex the week before your period to ensure the best chances of having a child. Also you have to stop worrying and know that having a child is something that happens. Hormonal changes can cause your cervix and other parts to swell. The best way for some people to know if they are pregnant is that they experience spotting and there is some type of discharge that comes along with that. You will also have tenderness of the breast and you will also have sensitivity of smell and a way that i found out was when i could not stand my husband... do not get me wrong we have a great relationship but when i was pregnant i could not stand him for anything. also you will get tired and want to sleep and also if you spot when your period is supposed to come on that could tell you. and one more thing girlfriend... Stop planning and just let it happen. It will come if you do not think of it as a job and think of it as something that is natural. Trust me. IT can happen. It did for Sarah (in the bible) it can happen for you. And if the above things do not help. there are certain foods that i have been told that aid in fertility. Also you can go and get yourself and husband tested to see if you are fertile or not cause sometimes it is not the woman but men who have low sperm counts can affect the out come of a woman's chances of conception. Not saying that it could be the case but it is certainly something you can look into. I am not a doctor, but the best thing is to get more research and make sure that you ask your doctor plenty of quesitons because they wont tell unless you ask.
God Bless

The only thing I can tell you is blood flow increases while pregnant and can contribute to swelling there AND other places. Maybe an exciting announcement is around the corner??
