Depends on year, however I'd got with the Toyota.

1. Easier to repair and maintain, especially if you do it yourself. Toyota places most standard maintenance parts in easy to reach locations. If you learn to do your own oil changes, it could save you a bundle in time and money.

2. Toyota engines tend to be non-interference fit engines. (Though recently they have gone to timing chains with interference fit engines) All Hondas are interference fit engines. Meaning if someone got lazy and didn't do a timing belt change or a timing element goes out of whack, your Honda engine is toast, for the Toyota, it means fixing the part and re-timing the engine and your set to go. Could be the difference between a few hundred dollars to thousands.

3. Toyota has drivers sit more upright. It lends itself to the feeling of a bigger car with more room.

4. Mind you I'm saying all this and I own Stock in Honda and not in Toyota.

Accord!! That's what I'm trading my car in on they are definately dependable great vehicles. I had an older Accord before and it had 172,000 miles on it when I traded it in and it was a great car I had no trouble with it even with that many miles.
