I have been taking Chantix for over 2 weeks now and have been experiencing major headaches, upset stomach and trouble eating. They won't go away, I have asked my doctor and pharmisist about this and they tell me not to stop taking the medicine. My concern is I feel it is the medicine is there anyone out there who has the same problems? If so what did you do?

It's given to help stop smoking. I have found some sites for you that should answer all your questions. About side effects, other uses basically all you need.

www.ChantixHelps.com
www.chantix.com/
www.drugs.com/chantix.html

www.pfizer.com/pfizer/download/uspi_chantix.pdf

Any more would be an overkill or information over load. I looked at most of them & they do have your answer. 2nd from bottom is a good place to start. Hope this helps.

I've been taking Chantix for five weeks now. I haven't had any lasting side effects. I have experienced an upset stomach with it. But, I now make sure that I take it with food, or at the very least a full glass of milk. This helped me with the stomach aches and I haven't had a problem since. By now you should be up to the "full" dose of 1 mg twice a day. If you are taking it with food and still having the negative effects of it, I would suggest lowering your dose of it. I talked with my doctor about when I should stop taking it (since it's so expensive) and she suggested that instead of stopping I just go back to the 0.5 mg twice a day. I have a friend who had serious stomach problems with it and that's what her doctor told her to do to. Plus, I read on the Chantix website that taking 0.5 mg twice a day is still effective with quitting smoking. Good luck! I've been smoke free for 26 days now and I couldn't have done it without the Chantix (and all the positive support from friends). You can do it too!!

Is there another spelling for this? What's it for? why not try re-wording your question? Doesn't sound like any medication I've heard of...
