My mom is the same way. In her family they never talked about feelings. If your dad is never around, do you have any other people you can trust? You shouldn't stop "moaning." Depression is very serious and you should realize a lot of people are going through the same thing. If you ignore it, it will get worse. It's like a time bomb, you will go off eventually. I used to hold my feelings in and it was BAD I tell ya. The best thing you can do is get help through a school counselor. You shouldn't be nervous talking to a counselor or phone line. They are there to help you.

You sound completely normal to me--what ever normal is! If you think or know someone is laughing at you, you have every right to be upset about it. It doesn't mean you are anything. And if you have to check the lock on the door several times before showering, so what. If you've been interrupted, spied on, or surprised while in the shower, I don't blame you for checking the lock. As for you being depressed--talk to your doctor, a therapist, a nurse, school counselor, or your religious leader. They will be more able to help you get the proper diagnosis and any help you need than people who don't know you personally and only get part of what's going on in your life from your questions posted here. Good luck & chin up!

It sounds like you might have an anxiety disorder, possibly a mild case of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD). Go to the doctor. He/she might be able to give you some medication that could make you feel better. There is no point in suffering needlessly.

The door locking thing strikes me more as OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) than crazy. Do you hear people laughing at you or do you just think that they are laughing at you behind your back? I would go to a doctor and get checked if I were you.

If you are feeling depressed, you should not keep your feelings in.
You need to talk to someone who will listen to you but not voice their opinion. You should talk to a guidance counselor if you are in school or find a psychologist. They generally will not tell you that you are wrong or that you shouldn't feel that way, they are there to listen to you and help resolve what is wrong. I wish you the best.

Something we learn as we age is that parents are not always right.
Your mom wants the best for you I am sure but she is not inside your head and does not know what is going on.
If you belive you need help ( sounds like you do) then you go get it! tell your school counselor or your doctor.

You should find a good counselor to talk with about what's going on with you. Everyone needs help sometimes. Don't keep it all in.
