Have any of you ever loved a girl and lied to them about something important,( not talkin about weather she looks good or not) Why when you guys lie to your girls is it so hard for you guys to just admitte it,for me when my boy friend lies to me its over drugs, money, partying, workin. iv told him that it would be alot better if he admitted it to me instead of hearing it from his friends and mine. Why do some of you do that? And Should i leave him or not?

Trust is the most important foundation of any relationship. If you are serious about wanting to start a life and moving foward in your life towards your goals you have set than I don't think you can continue without a solid foundation for trust. Now it is up to you at this point whether or not you are willing to see if he comes off of drugs and if he is able to stop lying. You make it sound like it is only guys that do this kind of stuff. I know it may seem like that because his actions are hurting you, but you are not alone, ok? Like I said I know it hurts because a girl did the exact same thing to me. She lied all the time about drugs and partying and all that when I just wanted her to be honest, I would have been upset but still ok with it to a degree. It didn't matter though, drugs disconnect the user from reality and there is no compramise, no negotiating, you cannot reach them because the drugs have control and the person is nothing more than a shell of who they are sober...understand? So it's not just guys or just girls, it's drugs that are the issue and now you have to decide if you want to tough it out with this guy and hope he comes clean or just cut your losses and move on. Lying about something or not talking about it, i believe is quite common among couples. But of course if to the extent of continuous and prolonged lies, that would mean something is wrong with either him, you or the relationship.
Whether you should leave him or not should not be based on the fact he lied to you before but does he know his fault and has he changed already for the relation. If he is sincerely changing, why not give him a chance and make it clear to him that trust gotta be earned by and not just given back so easily. * of course dun give him too hard a time until he gives up *

What your boyfriend is lying to you about is not small fry stuff to lie about ...
He is lying now, it is not likely to improve in the future. The reasons are varied, but most commonly it is to cover up something he shouldn't be doing (drugs, money and partying) or to cover up some*one* he shouldn't be doing. I would recommend ending the relationship, especially if there has been a recurrance of lies, as seem to be the case here.

I say marry him. You might not be smart enough for anyone better.
And why do we lie? The sad truth is that we lie to stay out of trouble. Men generally want to do whatever they want and not have someone harp on it.

You don't need a guy who lies to you. You need a guy you can trust. You're right that it would be better for him to admit his lies.
Instead of trying to help him understand how trust works, find someone who already understands. If your guy doesn't already know or care by now, it isn't likely that he will anytime soon.
