More US troops died last weekend than in any other weekend YET and 100 more people were killed today. Will there be an Iraq left by the time we get those extra troops in there?

I am sure there is many more citizens of ex-Iraq who can and well die this week. Also, short of another iron man like Saddam, there is no way of putting the former Country of Iraq back together again.
Ultimately, the solutions for the people of the land of Babylonia are ugly for a long time. But a UN divided Iraq could work with lots of US money for many years to come.
Powell was absolutely right. Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld and other civilians they brought into government broke it, so we have to pay to fix it!
Let us hope that the American people are pounding at the door of the White House and insisting that Bush get out of the way and let us fix this mess and also learn to be thoughtful, careful, prepared and honest in all of our dealings with the world and ourselves in the future.
This means also reigning in our so called Intelligence agencies.

Yes.

20 soldiers died out of 130,000 still here.

If anything, this should strengthen the position that we need these troops and need them ASAP.

They'll be here in February. That's no secret.
