I had this last year after I hit the back of my head. It took about a month for it to go away completely. My dad also get this when he tips his head back quickly, like drinking from a can of soda. He actually went to a physical therapist to get some exercises that he does when it happens. It all has to do with the inner ear and the fluid in there some how it gets displaced and these exercises will help put it back where it belongs.

Very little you can do right now other than wait. It may take a while. It's one of those things that comes on fast but goes away slowly. Be patient and do things to strengthen your immune system. Take your vitamins and antioxidants.
