I can't stand this woman! I wish the Food Network would can her show. She can't cook and I've never made a recipe of hers that was worth eating. She's so fake! Now, she's "trying" to act like Rachel Ray. How desperate. Everything's so yummy or fantastic. Not to mention she talks to you like your 2.

Okay... So, if I am to believe the parson that answered first, she has two kids with cancer. (I haven't actually done the research so I am not going to say one way or the other, I hope they don't and I am sorry if they do!) However, whether she has kids with cancer or not, it doesn't make her a better cook nor does it make her less annoying. My point is this: her kids having or not having cancer has nothing to do with this question. Yes she is annoying, she is not a great cook and she does treat her viewers like children!

LOL. This is the funniest show on Food Network. I love to watch a little and laugh.

There was the clevage episode, the bathing suit episode etc... soooooo delightfully cheesy.

I love how one day the set is all blue, another yellow. So Tacky!
The set decorators must have a blast.

She has the gaudiest "girls cocktail party" the other day. Super Tacky!

Can't say if the food is any good. Too busy checking out sets.

I don't particularly like her style of cooking or some of the foods that she makes, but I did use a recipe from the episode where she made chicken pot pie. I adapted it to my tastes and it came out pretty well.

I agree with the other posters, though...the tablescape thing is very lame. She also spends too much time making cocktails; they can be an important part of the meal, but sometimes it seems like she has a drink ready for EVERYTHING!

I think her show is a slap in the face of people who really care about cuisine or healthy eating.
She spends too much time making sure everything on the set is all matchy-matchy, which is inane and childish. Everything she makes is full of processed foods, and I'm sure tastes like it.
Additionally, feeling it necessary to serve cocktails at every event speaks to her level of personal desperation.
I cant wait till they cancel her show, but FoodNetwork will just pad the lineup with more Rachel Ray and then Ill really go nuts. How overexposed can you GET?

Her show is a joke. If you're going to spend time in the kitchen go shopping & make it from scratch. The sh*t she comes up with makes me wanna puke. I think the whole food network has gone downhill in the past few years. Every time you tune in either Emeril, Rachel Ray, Barefoot Contessa, or that Lady from Texas or the South ..whatever......is on. I think Emeril is a great chef but com'on .....get some new programming & show more pastry & baking .....

I take my cooking seriously and think that she just makes fools of the people who follow her lead. Any child could figure out the things she calls food. My heart goes out to anyone who uses her advice to prepare an important meal. But, no she is not an idiot or she wouldn't be making the money she does. She is very much like the Emperor's New Clothes, there isn't anything there!!!

Yeah, she's a little annoying. I don't like that she calls everything "sweet." It's weird. But as for copying Rachael Ray -- I think Giada de Laurentis is doing that. Rachael has had her Tasty Travels show for a while, and now Giada is doing Weekend Getaways.

I actually have tried quite a few of her recipes and can say I enjoyed them. I like her concept...that is...using store bought ingredients to make quick work of a recipe. I think for busy parents who work this is great. HOWEVER...yes...her attitude (I'm not sure I'm using the right words here) is a bit off. I particularly do not like how she laughs/chuckles/smiles at the camera while she is talking. This is weird...but it is almost like she is laughing at her audience. LOL My own conspiracy theory. But seriously, you have seen her in action. You know what I'm talking about.

Plus: I know this is gross (cause I'm a chick) but is it just me or is she NEVER wearing a bra!?! She has to be in her 40's. She should be wearing one! Its obvious that even though she is "fit" and "trim" that they are sagging.

Most Food Network personalities are shmucks..have you seen the "Food Detective"? Other than Alton Brown, they've gone downhill.
