I remember reading that women get into little fender benders more and men have more fatality per accident than women.

Speed may kill but it doesn't cause accidents.

I do agree with others, it seems women have more fender benders, city streets, parking lots, etc. While men seem to roll three of four cars up into a ball and send half a dozen people to the hospital and one or two to the morgue.

When alcohol is involved all bets are off and the ages of the responsible driver seems to go down.

Part of my job prior to retirement was aircraft accident investigation. All the investigators I have ever known have been inundated with literature on safety. That includes aircraft commercial and private, autos, boats, trains and even a remark about horses from time to time. And if forgot a means of transport, please add it as I am sure my journals have addressed it.

I've seen the same poll that supports woman are better drivers. John Stossel also reported the same in his recent book "Myths, Lies, and Downright Stupidity". He provided some references (have lent it out so can't quote them), but pretty much indicates that males tend to be more aggressive and unconcerned about potential repercussions of their actions, then most women.

Why argue over that? If both of you are safe drivers, let that be that. If both of you have never had an accident or speeding ticket or something of that nature, both of you are probably pretty good drivers. What does it matter who is best?

women will have alot more small knocks that dont get reported but statisticly will be involved in less big crashes. men are the opposite they will have very few small tips but are more likey to have a big crash. but in my experiance it depends on the individual. some will crash alot some never crash at all. all depends on how aware a driver is not the speed or sex of the driver

I don't believe that at all, there are road jerks of both Genders. If you want to prove who is the safer, you or your husband, go get a driving abstract and compare them, the evidence will speak for itself.
