I don't blame you. I would feel the same way for a long time. It takes quite a while to get over the guilt and believe me when I say it was not your fault. He was going to kill himself anyway, and there would have been nothing you could have done to stop him. Get off the computer and start talking to some people in real life here. Take the time you need to grieve for the boyfriend. Someday you will feel different.

Of course you're lonely, because you are in 'grief' and it's normal to feel like you've 'been abandoned' and even more normal because your boy committed suicide. You also could be 'clinically depressed' and you should see a Mental Health 'counselor' to talk about your deep feelings, and possibly get on medication for awhile if that is needed. You'll want to date again, and that will come a lot 'sooner' than you think it will now ... but you NEED TO TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF FIRST right now. GOOD LUCK.

CAN YOU SOME OF YOU PEOPLE PLEASE BE A LITTLE MORE SENSITIVE!!! The way you feel is quite normal, I've been divorced since 1997 and haven't had a really serious relationship since. But you will feel better in time, trust me. Take time for yourself and to grieve for him, and, if in time, you still feel that loss than you do need to seek therapy or counseling. The best way to find someone else is to reach out to others first, to be supportive of other people who have had/having similar issues and to lend a listening ear when you can. You can't go through the rest of your life alone, as much as you think you can at the moment, so seek others - try attending religious services/singles groups through your church, singles activities in your area, or if there are none available where you live, Internet sites are a great way to reach out to others and meet new people, but please be careful in any activity you undertake to meet someone. I truly feel sorry for your loss, but in time you will find someone who will bring you happiness.

Ignore the previous reply from the ignorant bastard . Give yourself time to grieve and then when you feel ready and less vulnerable , go out and meet someone new.

You should see a therapist to straighten out all you have stored inside. The sooner the better!
