Thou Shalt

Yeah, because the Bible talks a lot about computers...
Why don't we delve into psychological reasons - why do people flirt? For attention from the opposite sex. Why do they want attention from the opposite sex? To attract them. Maybe they don't have a mate, or maybe they do and don't feel they're getting enough attention at home - maybe that person will never feel they're getting enough attention no matter what the circumstances. Why would you do it on line? Anonymity. No face to face contact to blame.
Point is, these aren't questions you need to place on the Bible. You need to talk to your spouse about it. Does he care? Do you care if he cares? What does it say about you and your relationship if you are flirting with other people? It says you aren't satisfied with what you have. That kind of means your "flirting with danger" - that is, if you have problems in your marriage, you need to face them, not turn to the comfort of others. It may just be flirting on line now, but your in the danger zone - do you want your marriage to work? If not, tell him now before you hurt him. What kind of road is this flirting leading you to? Some people here may tell you it's innocent, but would you want your husband doing this without your knowledge? Don't be a hypocrite. If your marriage isn't working, then you need to talk to your husband. Lack of comunication is the number one killer in marriages - it's what leads one to the adultery and then the divorce...

Jesus said that while the law says the act of adultery is a sin, He says even to think it is a sin.

So what does that mean for you? Well, if you know in your heart that if one of these guys you flirt with online asked you to meet and have sex, that you would, then you've already sinned. If you would never even conceive of doing such a thing, then you are okay.

However, let me ask you, does your husband know what you are doing? If he doesn't because it would anger him, or if you know that telling him would upset him, then you are not showing him love. He's the one you are supposed to love the most on this earth (not biologically related one that is).

Well, I'm not sure if the Bible says anything, but if your marriage vows included the words about forsaking all others, then I'd say you're stepping over the line. It seems disprespectful to your husband, as it would be to you if he were flirting online or otherwise. That's just my opinion.

Oy, that has nothing at all to do with religion. And the internet wasn't even conceived of in the bible. The people that lived then thought the earth was flat. Can't get much more primitive on that.

Though you might like to rethink the flirting. If your hubby catches you he'll probably be pissed.

Well you obviously don't really love your husband if you flirt online. Bad news for you girl...its a sin and God isn't happy with it.

Even though the Internet wasn't invented yet, you and only you know how you are feeling while you are " FLIRTING" on-line. It could fall under LUST. Hope that helps.
