Mine, erm... Rotties. Labradoodle's(and any doodle or poo breed) and teacups are NOT breeds, so don't say them.

My rottie mix smiles when he's happy, he opens his mouth and well you'd have to see it.

I know you said not to say it, but I honestly believe mutts make the best pets. "Mutt" may not be a breed, but they thus avoid a lot of the problems that purebreds have from inbreeding. They also typically have better demeanours. My dog is a cross between a basset hound and a border collie!!

The best breed I've ever had is my Bloodhound Black Lab. Her mom was a champion blood hound, and dad just a plain old black lab (not a planned breeding). But she is the best dog ever. She can turn on that lab side and go run 100 miles with you, or she can just be a laid back bloodhound and curl up on the couch and watch TV all day (she loves to snuggle). She the smartest dog I've ever had, you can litteraly carry on a conversation with her. I think it should be made an official breed... just don't know what you'd call it!

Now I do LOVE the labradoodles. Is there a dog out there who isn't precious and adorable in his own little way? Although you may not agree, I love my little poodle. She's a big girl, 8.5 pounds. She's kind of shaggy and she's not a foo-foo dog. She has the best personality and a face to die for. I couldn't love her more than I do! Oh, can you tell I don't have kids and that she's my baby?

I actually have 2 favorites: German Shepherds and Border Terriers

German Shepherds, assuming they are well bred, are wonderful dogs. Great companions, fantastic family dogs and very smart.

Border Terriers: Wonderful little dogs that are luckily underappreciated. They are distinctly different from the other terriers. Generally good with other animals, wonderful family pets and a great companion all wrapped up in a small, rugged body. My next dog (show/companion) will be a Border...

Thats a tough question for me - I LOVE DOGS! I prefer Giant/Large and Medium dogs. I"m scared I'll lose the little ones.

If I HAD to chose a breed I'd go for 1. Mastiffs 2. Pitt bulls 3. Golden Retrievers

I have raised German Shepherds, you can look into those eyes and see so much intelligence, it is amazing. At present I have 2 Westies. I wasn't sure about them, but they are great too. Very loving and very smart. The dog that will always be in my heart however was a Pekingese. They are not for everyone, they are very stubborn, proud and don't forget fearless but nobody can cuddle better.

Labrador and Staffordshire Bull Terriers:

Wonderful dogs, watchful of the home when we're gone, love the kids, happy go lucky all the time, big enough so no one wants to bug me or Jr. on a walk, scary to someone seeing them stare out the window (crime deterrents) at them but no real worry about dangerous liabilities.

I love mine!

I'm putting in my vote for Boxers! I love them! I have had all kinds of breeds, but Boxers are the greatest. They are great with kids, they are fun, smart, sassy, quirky, they move beautifully, they are loyal, loving, lovable, they are flexible-they can do obedience training, agility training, they make great pets, watch dogs, protectors...

Mostly I love them because they have so much heart.

All dogs are great, but my favorite is the Chihuahua. They are very loving, loyal, protective, great little watch dogs, very low maintenance, graceful, alert, smart, swift moving little dog, with saucy experession, has terrier like qualities of temperament, they are small, but can be quite tough, have great personalities, fun to dress up, {not only because they get cold very easily}, but mine love it, that's why you see Chihuahuas wearing clothes, love to cuddle and be held, and you can take them with you almost anywhere you go.
