Are men by their nature just drawn to war. It seems throughout history that men can only find glory in battle.

Well...let's just take look at the toys that are made for the male child...Cowboys & Indians, guns and bow & arrows...Army toys, more guns, tanks, etc...I believe our society nurtures 'war games' from the get-go. Society nurtures girls to be the emotional, care-givers, ie: wives, mothers...I personally do not like children playing with guns, my little boys did not have 'cap guns'...cowboy guns and holsters, etc....and they have grown up to be just fine, both served in the military, went on to become productive human beings with families and responsibilities. ;)

How can you make a blanket statement like that? Men by nature are not bellicose. I really can't say that; men that I know, and I know quite a few do not like war. They despise it, but they hate even more false peace in which tyrants victimize the innocent. Power corrupts and sometimes strong men have to keep other men from gaining to much power were they grow corrupt and filthy.

Wars don't happen because men like it. What are you 10 years old?

Wars happen because ...

... people are defending themselves from some sort of enemy.
... people are fighting over resources, territory or land.
... because the elites goad a nation into war.
... because a nation/people gets duped into war by sinister groups.

No. I hate war, I hate killing, I hate our troops being killed. But we must fight some wars. The terrorists are not going to give in through diplomacy, it is not in their nature nor religion. Sometimes, we just have to fight, even if we dont want to.
