We just cut off our cable and are going back to peasant-vision. We have 3 TV's and rather than having rabbit ears for them all, I would like to hook up an antenna on the roof of the house to feed all 3 TV's a signal (hopefully through the cable wire). Is this possible? Any help or suggestions are welcome.

Yes, the signal can be fed through the same wires that were used for cable. However, since you have to feed three TV's off of the signal from one rooftop antenna you may wish to consider an amplifier before the signal splits off to the three televisions.

Also please visit the site I list below to help you with your antenna selection and orientation.

There are some antennas that use a power %. to grant in many situations 12 volt DC to the antenna although the Voltage is remoted from the coax that aspects the sign to the television Its in fact like a transformer that could habit A/C yet won't be able to habit DC The 12 Volts travels to the antenna on the midsection cord in many situations there's a power %. plugged into the wall someplace and it output is inserted to important cable going out and as much as the antenna the least difficult thank you to verify if your antenna makes use of power is Get the Make and form quantity and seek for it on line. it extremely is going to say powered if it makes use of power. A 2d thank you to tell is climb as much as the antenna un hook the coax and degree from the floor nut to midsection cord with a DVM . finally as with all conductor it extremely is above floor it may carry the electrical powered present day produced in a lightning strike. The is often an somewhat small danger that lightning will strike close adequate to the antenna to deliver voltage into the living house on the cord. many human beings run around the living house unplugging issues for the time of a lightning hurricane and forget the coax and speak to lines.
