The fact all Religions have started in a very mundane way, restricted to a narrow geographic region and extending at a snail pace by very down to earth means points to the human origin of religion and its messages. God would act in a responsible and Godly all powerful manner just by spreading the news uniformly and simultaneously to all ethnic groups at once. This would not have eliminated individual free will. This would have avoided confusion, misunderstandings and hatreds. After such a show the divine presence all over the earth in one simultaneous revelation all the false prophets would have stood out like charicatures of the real thing.
