I would say because maybe he asked or maybe she just wanted to, in the end it is mainly becuase she wanted to talk to him.

But dont read into it that much- a woman doesnt necessarily give a man her number for sex- she may be a friend, interested in something else or whatever. To imply something can lead you down the wrong path.

This is all provided she even gave you the right number and name in the first place!
