I am 15 years old, and when I have looked after my 9 year old sister, I have on occasions, felt it necessary to smack her on the bum. Should I be allowed at the age 0f 15? My mum does authorise this by the way, and I have never gone over the top. Usually a few slaps bent over on the bare bum

Definately not normal behavior. Why the bare bum? Punishment should be left to parents and that is all.

No* Hitting should Never be allowed either on your part or your parents* There are plenty of ways to teach a child to behave properly like with Words Not with hands*
You are 15 yrs old, your sister is 9yrs old. Yes it's fine to babysit for a few hours but that should never intale "abuse"(verbally or physically).
Grounding for a few days for misbehaviour, take away privilages like no television ....explain what they did wrong and A Better way that they could have done/said to have made a better outcome. But again....You are not the parent and should Never "abuse/hit" anyone and Either Should your parents*
Goodluck*

No you should not be hitting your sister for discipline or not. You are not the parent, this should be left to them. Also this bear bum thing! Oh no, that is just crossing way to may boundaries. You and your sister should just be sisters, have fun and enjoy each other. If you are sitting and she gets out of control she should be sent to her room until mum gets home and she can handle the discipline part.

Firstly your mum should not authorize u to discpline your younger sister if she knows your little sister misbehaves under your supervision she should have her go to another family members home or have a babysitter come to the house if she can not bring your sister with her. Why does it have to be on the bare bum that is abuse!

Personally, I think slapping bare bottom is wrong. Especially out of anger. You shouldn't be babysitting if you can't hack it. There are a lot of different ways to deal with her, you don't have to abuse her. I don't think you should be doing that. Just tell your parents that you can't handle babysitting, you're obviously not mature enough to do it. It takes a lot of time and patience to babysit. Just make a list of the things you think she did wrong, and inform your parents when they return. Leave it up to them to decide how to punish her.

No. You should not smack your sister.
Your mum should take away privileges from your sister for bad behavior on her part.
Or maybe, she could offer a treat if your sister behaves well.

No this shouldn't be allowed. Your mother is the parent and should be the one who is the disciplinarian of the home. It is putting you in a bad situation and could cause future conflicts in and out of the home.

yes it is wrong and I am also not sure if you are also a girl or boy, but it makes no difference. If you are babysitting, you need to talk to you mother and tell her how she is acting. but please no smacking. Send her to her room, use a timeout. anything but hitting.

Don't do this. It is physical assault even though it is authorized by your Parent. You should never hit anyone except in self-defense.

LEAVE THE PARENTING TO THE PARENT> YOUR PARENTS MUST BE LAZY IF THEY ARE RELYING ON YOU TO DO THE SPANKING! CUT IT OUT!!!
