This is a serious Question...I mean I know that Allah is just a different translation of God but Have Muslims read the bible and have Christians read the Quran? I mean aside from differences in the story do you think your both pretty much worshipping the same god? And if not what are the differences?

The difference is that the God of Abraham has a Son named Jesus. Jesus is also God and He is the only way of Salvation. Muslims do not have a god of Salvation and believe that their good works get the into heaven. Christians believe it is faith, not works that saves you.

It is not possible for Allah to be the one and only God of the Bible. John the Baptist was the last prophet and Jesus, being the Son of God, fulfilled prophecy. The Quran denies Jesus as The Christ and offers no means of salvation. They also believe allah has no son. Jews and Christians believe in the same God, just differ on The Messiah. That makes Muhammad a false prophet and the Quran a false teaching, not of God.

May God Bless you.

I think it's one of those PC comments that makes everyone fuzzy and warm, but I think the answer is no. As a Muslim, I don't worship a God concept which includes Jesus and a Ghost as part of God. To do so in Islam would make a person a polytheist. Islam is a strict monotheistic religion. One cannot worship anyone or anything but God alone.

Since God revealed the Torah and Bible, the same God revealed these books as did the Qur'an, but the "God(s)" that Christians worship wouldn't be the same as the one I do. There is a verse in the Qur'an that basically says, "I do not worship what you worship.....I have my religion, you have yours."

Hope that covers your question and does so respectfully.

Rev Kip - The moon God, WTF? and also you're a non secular chief? Explains plenty about the frame of mind of rather some Christians obtainable... *Shakes Head* Do you no longer keep in mind that Muslims (and many Jews) hint the origins of Islam lower back to the first toddler of Abraham, who God also reported would the be the daddy of a good human beings? So do you carry it adversarial to Jesus that his father and mom weren't christian? because Mohammed depending the religion, for sure he become born right into a distinct one. and those loopy reference you made about the pagan daughters he allegedly worshiped, you want to income somewhat more suitable. Mohommed actual denouced all scripture concerning them as "The Satanic Verses" and reported such beliefs had no position in a monotheistic relgion. in any case, on to answering the question. keep in concepts, I communicate of the wider Christian frame of mind, and under no circumstances the actually faith itself which preaches tolerance of others... Christianity hasn't ever loved different religions. to comprise Judaism. all of us remember the Inquisition? Or the very shown actuality that Pope John Paul II admitted that the church bore some duty for the holocaust because of it is intolerence of Jews? Ever heard the age previous tale that we use the blood of a christian threat free to make our passover matzah? Christians want to piggy lower back off of our faith so as that they have got a love hate relationship with us, yet common won't be able to denounce us because they did borrow our God and under no circumstances any incorrect way round. The immediately out hate for Muslims comes from the very shown actuality that at the same time as Jews purely want to get with this technique, Islam become shaped after the shortcoming of life and hoopla of Jesus. we do not want to grandfather clause him in, yet they outright rejected him. Oh, that and Christians look an intollerant lot as a results of the undeniable fact that is (a lot to Jesus's chagrin, i'm advantageous).

Some do, some don't.

I think that Muslims understand better than most Christians that we all worship the same God.

It's when we speak of the Lord Jesus Christ that the rift comes into play.

I think that we are worshipping the same God.... the only complex part is the difference in teachings about christ (which is also the only huge difference between Judaism, Islam, and Christianity). hopefully this answers your question...

Many Christians will SAY the Muslims don't worship the same god but Muslims will tell you they do. Considering my understanding of Islam is based on years of in-depth analytical study, I'd say that they are worshipping the same god as the Christians.

Same God but they miss the point. Jesus came to seek and to save that which was lost. They are still lost because they believe that Muhammed is their man. The beliefs are the same till Abraham. Christians are from Isaac and Muslims are from Ishmael.

No Alah was the moon god. Before mohammad there were a lot of gods for the muslims. He threw them all out and selected the moon god, allah. That is why their symbol is the cresent moon. We believe in The one true god, not a moon god. I dont know why they believe jesus was a prophet, because if he isnt the son of god, he is the biggest lier in history.

I do not think so though I am not familiar with The Muslim religion. I am a Christian. Meaning I believe in Jesus Christ. The Creator of all things and my Savior. I believe the only way to Heaven is through Jesus Christ. So I guess it would be interesting for Muslims to post their beliefs.
