We all know that Christians say that the bad things that happen are due to man's sin. Is sin causing this to happen, and if so...how?

The moon is moving away from the earth. http://curious.astro.cornell.edu/question.php?number=124

Earth's axis would wobble without the moon. This means we wouldn't have steady climates. For example, Jamaica could become as cold as Alaska for a couple of years then return to the tropics. This would cause the majority of plant life to die, and would significantly decrease animal life.

Actually the result of Adam's sin led to the Flood. Until then there was only a tropical climate. After the Flood and in the Biblical account ,the world was on a new axis causing a tilt and the changes in climate, resulting in the four seasons. What we are looking at presently is the Entropy theory of global warming and the world expanding and being uprighted to its original position.

Punishments like this are common in Western culture. We are, frankly, a society that drips with paranoia. I DON'T SAY that these beliefs are specifically wrong.

What I do know is that wrong action is already A PUNISHMENT IN ITSELF. It doesn't take God violating the laws of physics to bring consequences for behavior; although I'm sure God IS CAPABLE to do this if he so chooses.

People who run roughshod over others ALWAYS lead unhappy lives deep down. Sometimes it seems that this is not true - on the surface. In the long run, I've never seen it NOT HAPPEN.

Every force has a counter-force. The boomerang comes back to me as hard as I threw it. As far as the moon falling away, the sun going out, alien abductions - I have no idea. What really is the difference?

It's too simplistic to say that the bad things that happen are due to man's sin. Bad things happen to everyone, and not because all men have sinned. The moon's orbit has changed over the centuries with no ill effects. It's not going anywhere.

lets not be too concerned about things that might happen in a few thousand years, and things we can do nothing about. Let's get our lives in order, and in harmony with Scripture. Worshipping the True Creator, and the True Savior, and calling them by their right names!!!
