good reason to break up with someone?

I can be honest here so here it goes..
Been dating a girl for about 7 months now, and i'm having thoughts about breaking up with her cuz I think I can get someone younger and hotter than her. She's becoming comfortable with me and eating poorly and not working out as much as she did when we first met and I think she's gaining weight. I'm 30, good looking, and a software engineer so I make good money and I t hink I can date hotter, younger girls. Should I break up w/ her? she's a great girl friend and companion, I'm just not physically attracted like I use to be...

You need to be straight with her. Tell her how you feel and that physical appearance is important. She may see this as shallow and hate you for it but at least it will be out in the open. I'd like to say that if you really cared her looks wouldn't matter but I'd be wasting my breath. If you can't love her now because of how she looks how will you deal with age? Hotter, younger girls expect A LOT from any guy, regardless of how attractive the guy is or thinks he is. Hotter, younger girls can be high maintenance, bossy, selfish, bitchy, etc. Sounds like you have a great girl who just got comfortable. Talk to her and let her know the problem, if she doesn't want to fix it and still knows you aren't attracted to the pudgy type she has no one to blame but herself when you leave or stray. Just be very clear that you care about her but you cannot be physically attracted to a pudgy person.

Alright, this isn't much of an answer, but this is for all the people calling this guy shallow...well, think about it this way, men are gonna be naturally attracted to better looking women, and if the woman he is with doesn't care enough for his sexual needs to keep fit and what not, then she's the one who is being lame! If she doesn't care enough for him to take care of herself, then he has every right to break up with her. So my advice for you is this, break up with her, but don't tell her it's because you don't find her sexually attractive anymore, she probably won't like that...just tell her some crap about how you think that you have different goals than her or something like that, and that you want to stay with her, but you just don't think it's the best thing for either of you...and some people will wanna say "tell her the truth!" kinda like the genie in aladdin...but really, this is the kindof situation where that is just not a good idea...

Do you think the younger and hotter girl won't get fat??? You're mistaken. What are you looking for in your relationship?? Love, sharing, sympathy, understanding or sex?? There will be always much younger and hotter girls. As you grow older you will see that while your vallet is thick all the sexy and hot girls are yours. Whoever you date with physical attraction will go away after a while.. Good Luck..

Well, if that's the case, she deserves to have you break up with her. That way she can find someone less superficial who will appreciate her. My boyfriend is a 22 year old good looking software engineer who makes good money. I'm 5' 4" and weighed 250 pounds when he met me. I'm now about 265. He does not care if gain or lose weight, because it's my mind that's important to him, not my body. Now, THAT'S a man!

Whatever you do, do NOT tell her that you are breaking up with her to date younger, hotter girls. Woman can be overly sensitive when it comes to their appearance. You could destroy her emotionally by revealing this to her. This is a good example of when it would be best not to tell the whole truth.

Try telling her you were thinking of seeing other people and see how she reacts.

Looks come and go. Can you see yourself with her in 20 years when your out of shape and not looking so good. Cause the young hot ones are only looking for money and someone as hot as they are. So when you get older, they will ditch you after taking all your money. Trust me I was one of those girls. Stick with someone that likes you for you, not what you look like or what is in your wallet. You sound like my 29 yr old son.. shallow to the end !! and it has cost him !!!! He thinks if a girl gains 5 pounds it is a sin and he refuses to be seen with her... now, he was married, and he always said he would NOT be married to a *fat* girl, well she was and is not fat, tall tho 6'3 just like he is, but his attitude about life cost him his family, they have a 5 yr old son... and he searches still for that *perfect* girl !!!
