If God is all powerful and all wisdom would'n't he have predicted that appearing with different messages, to different people at different times would be setting up the conditions for religious wars and hatreds? Isn't God at least guitly of being criminally negligent at least if not the instigator of crimes and atrocities and war?

Don't give me the shitty argument that God gave men free will and that men are responsible for their wars. God ALSO MUST HAVE FREE WILL OF HIS OWN, AND HE OF HIS OWN FREE WILL APPEARS IN PALESTINE TO THE JEWS, THEN SAME PLACE TO THE CHRISTIANS THEN HUNDREDS OF YEARS LATER IN MECCA (OR WHEREVER HE APPEARED TO MOHAMMED) AND HOPES THAT THE WHOLE WORLD WILL HEAR A CLEAR MESSAGE AND DON'T ENGAGE IN WARS? That's why this is prove there is no God because he would not have created this mess....has he used all his unlimited power to screw humanity?

Honestly I think it depends on the war. God has started many wars so I think he is definitely responsible for war crimes during those. However humans are responsible for the war crimes in the wars which they start, unless the war is being fought over religion.

The details you provided centered on the question of whether an omnipotent god exist is discussed in the book: Faith and reason : the philosophy of religion by Peter Kreeft.

I loved reading the book except that the professor was too conscientious to leave no conclusion. I hope more people will read it and give their opinions afterward.

My point is that whether we believe god exists, we can be the good person following the wisdom from five thousand years of civilization.

Religions can be good to re-enforce the faith and the teaching but they have bad side effects and that is another "serious" discussion.

Edit:
Can you lose a war but win your soul (your spiritual being)? General Yue in the Sung dynasty rather gave his life and lost the chance to win the war to fulfill his moral ideal as a commander under the order of the emperor. Many including I think he was silly, but isn't that the kind of leader a military relies on?

You're assuming that he revealed Himself to different people at different times. This is only partly true. The last time he revealed Himself was at the revelation at Sinai. After that, He gave prophetic messages to the prophets, of which the last was Malachi. All the messages and revelations were absolutely consistent and never contradicted what came before. That self-styled prophets and madmen have claimed otherwise, and half of humanity have believed them is a sad commentary on the gullibility of the human race.

In the military, the Commander is responsible for the actions of his troops. Even if those troops acted outside of the orders he gave. Similarly, God is responsible for everything that has and will happen in eternity. He cannot change or He would cease to be all Supreme.

Each man is personally responible for each of our actions, but our Commander (GOD) is responsible for all. We therefore must first blame ourselves before we pass the buck His direction.

Your soul is free to follow the bad things and to follow the rightous things as well. GOD is on the rightous way. If you fight for bad things, yes GOD is responsible for fights or even WARS. If you find your soul on to GOD's side, then you will have the joy of winning WARs. Because, ultimate winning is always to right sides.

I think that our creator, has the right to allow us to make choices that create our own demise. God is NOT responsible, it is clearly written that men have free will.
God alone understands death. His feelings and knowledge are higher than ours as he sees the whole big picture, while we see with human eyes.
The different messages are from Satan. Or the humans misinterpret the scriptures. Hear and see what their itching ears want to hear, and their blind eyes want to see.

Don't mock God...your only putting your life in the hands of the enemy...and he is not nearly as good a friend as Jesus...

God is incapable of doing anything wrong...

Knowing something will happen and causing it to happen are two different things. I can see a car careening down a highway and know that it is going to crash - but I did not cause the crash. God allows us free will - it's up to us what we do with it.
